Per molti un successo scontato, quello in scena agli MTV VMA 2015: la nuova reginetta del pop Taylor Swift ha sbaragliato tutti, facendo incetta di premi domenica 30 agosto agli MTV Video Music Awards 2015.
In sostanza, tutti i maggiori riconoscimenti della serata sono andati alla cantante di 1989: forte di un album da 8 milioni di copie vendute nel mondo in meno di un anno dal rilascio, Taylor Swift ha dominato il web con i video ufficiali dei singoli estratti finora.
Blank Space e Bad Blood, in particolare, le hanno fruttato la vittoria agli MTV VMA 2015 nelle principali categorie, a partire dalla più prestigiosa, quella intitolata al video dell’anno.
La partnership con Kendrick Lamar in Bad Blood, con un video ricco di guest star, ha fatto vincere a Taylor Swift il premio nella sezione Video of The Year e in quella dedicata alla migliore collaborazione (Best Collaboration): la cantante ha portato sul palco un’intera delegazione di star apparse nel video per ritirare insieme il premio. Blank Space, invece, ha portato a casa i premi come miglior video di un’artista femminile (Best Female Video) e miglior video pop (Best Pop Video). Un successo su tutti i fronti.
