Gli One Direction si riuniscono in Artists for Grenfell: audio e testo di Bridge Over Troubled Water

Finalmente anche in Italia Artists for Grenfell, il progetto per sostenere le vittime e le famiglie del recente incendio che ha colpito Londra e nel quale hanno perso la vita 79 persone.

La raccolta fondi, fortemente voluta da Simon Cowell, si baserà sulla distribuzione della rilettura del singolo Bridge over troubled water, che si apre con un verso di Stormzy per continuare con tutti gli altri artisti partecipanti, tra i quali compaiono anche i nomi di due ex One Direction.

Se alla vigilia del rilascio del singolo ancora rimaneva in dubbio la presenza di Louis Tomlinson, con l’uscita ufficiale del brano non c’è più spazio per le supposizioni. L’ex One Direction ha preso parte al progetto insieme al collega Liam Payne, che già era stato annunciato quando l’iniziativa era ancora in embrione.

Con i giovanissimi teen idol, anche una serie di leggende della musica internazionale come una parte degli Who e Robbie Williams, una delle stelle di One Love Manchester e tra i grandi protagonisti della serata voluta da Ariana Grande all’Old Trafford del 4 giugno scorso.

Come già annunciato, il singolo lanciato per l’iniziativa benefica rappresenta una rilettura del brano scritto da Paul Simon di Simon & Garfunkel. In Italia, è disponibile a partire dal 21 maggio su tutte le piattaforme di streaming musicale oltre che in vendita su iTunes. Seguono l’audio e il testo del singolo di Artists for Grenfell, oltre che la lista di tutti gli artisti che hanno voluto partecipare all’iniziativa fortemente voluta da Simon Cowell.
