Nella semifinale di X Factor 9, gli Urban Strangers presentano l’inedito Runaway e la canzone Pompeii dei Bastille. La prima manche vede Gennaro e Alex esibirsi sulle note della canzone in inglese scritta da loro stessi in collaborazione con G. Raia, E. Mirra e R. Ferrante.
L’inedito è perfetto per conuigare le loro voci e consente agli Urban Strangers di guadagnare il lasciapasare per la seconda manche, quella dedicata alle grandi hit radiofoniche. Guest star in studio è Linus, direttamente da una delle emittenti più ascoltate della penisola: radio Deejay.
“Con questo inedito siete un’altra storia”, commenta Elio mentre si congratula con il duo campano per l’impeccabile interpretazione. Skin è soddisfatta: finalmente, dopo un mese e mezzo ha visto emergergere anche Alessio, oltre a Gennaro. Mika ha sottolineato le numerose differenze tra le due voci che consentono agli Urban Strangers di completarsi a vicenda.
Per Fedez, il pezzo è “una bomba” e comunque vada spaccherà in radio.
