Video e testo del nuovo singolo di Lana Del Rey Mariners Apartment Complex, l’album nel 2019?

Col nuovo singolo di Lana Del Rey Mariners Apartment Complex in radio e le previsioni di un nuovo album in arrivo nel 2019 comincia ufficialmente l’era discografica post Lust For Life.

Il nuovo singolo è stato presentato in anteprima durante uno show di BBC Radio questo pomeriggio, con un’intervista alla stessa Lana Del Rey che ha spiegato come il testo faccia riferimento ad una serata in compagnia di un ragazzo terminata proprio davanti al complesso residenziale dei Marines, che dà il titolo alla canzone.

Poco dopo, Mariners Apartment Complex è stato reso disponibile per l’ascolto in streaming e il download digitale, mentre sul canale Youtube della popstar è apparsa la clip ufficiale, girata come un video da iPhone in bianco e nero e con filtri vintage.

Ma il nuovo singolo non è la sola novità annunciata dalla popstar, che aveva promesso due nuove release per settembre: la seconda canzone pensata per raggiungere il pubblico in questo finale d’estate, dal titolo Venice Bitch, sarà distribuita martedì 18 settembre.

Entrambi i brani che anticipano la pubblicazione di un nuovo album vantano la produzione di Jack Antonoff, già hitmaker per brani di Taylor Swift e Lorde. Con lui Lana Del Rey sta lavorando in studio agli inediti che confluiranno nella tracklist del successore di Lust For Life, rilasciato poco più di un anno fa e seguito da un tour mondiale che ha toccato anche l’Italia con due tappe, a Milano e Roma, la scorsa primavera. Secondo il sito specializzato Fader, l’uscita del nuovo disco è prevista già per il 2019.

Mariners Apartment Complex, come già intuibile dall’anteprima rilasciata su Instagram qualche giorno fa, è un brano dalla strofa struggente e dal ritornello soft-pop, come nella tradizione della Del Rey. Una ballata dall’atmosfera sognante e malinconica che ricorda le sonorità dell’album Ultraviolence, ad ora il più apprezzato, insieme a Born To Die, della carriera della cantautrice.
