La demo di Let’s Dance di David Bowie è da oggi disponibile. Oggi, lunedì 8 gennaio 2018, David Bowie avrebbe compiuto 71 anni e, per celebrarlo, la sua etichetta discografica ha deciso di rendergli omaggio attraverso la pubblicazione di un nuovo contenuto inedito.

Il contenuto in questione è una demo di Let’s Dance di David Bowie, che da oggi è online per l’ascolto in streaming su Spotify e in digital download.

Let’s Dance è la title track dell’album rilasciato da Bowie nel 1983, prodotto da Nile Rodgers, che oggi ha voluto dedicare un pensiero al ricordo dei momenti trascorsi insieme in studio di registrazione.

Queste sono le parole che si leggono sul sito ufficiale di Bowie, con l’annuncio del singolo speciale digitale disponibile da subito per l’ascolto e per il digital download per decisione di Parlophone.
Si racconta che nel 1982, Bowie aveva fatto ascoltare a Nile Rodgers il brano che sarebbe poi divenuto la title track del disco Let’s Dance. L’ascolto è avvenuto in Svizzera.

Il produttore ricorda l’immagine di David Bowie che, entusiasta, con una chitarra, gli chiedeva di ascoltare la canzone che avrebbe potuto trasformarsi in una hit, anticipando il reale futuro del pezzo.

Il 19 e il 20 dicembre 1982 Let’s Dance venne registrata con l’aiuto di una serie di musicisti d’eccezione che riportiamo qui sotto.

Al termine della registrazione, Bowie disse, felice: “That’s it, that’s it! Got it, got it!”. Il brano divenne una hit di calibro mondiale nel giro di soli 4 mesi.
