Jaremy Davis saluta i Paramore: la cantante Hayley Williams resta, nel 2015, l’unico dei fondatori originari del gruppo. I Paramore sono un gruppo rock statunitense, formatosi a Franklin, Tennessee, nel 2004. Ha esordito nel 2005 con l’album All We Know Is Falling e nel 2008, con la partecipazione alla colonna sonora del film cul Twilight, è arrivato il successo mondiale.
Cinque anni fa, alla fine del 2010, i fratelli Farro hanno abbandonato la band e oggi, martedì 15 dicembre 2015, un altro duro colpo per tutti i fan: l’addio di un altro dei fondatori, comunicato direttamente dal gruppo attraverso un messaggio su Facebook.
These last few years have held some of the most fulfilling moments we’ve had yet… as people, as friends, and as a band. The Self-Titled era was one that we knew would be important for us but also one we’d eventually have to move on from. In moving forward, there is growth, pain, and change… and sometimes the change is not at all what you hoped for. We’ve written and re-written this countless times and there’s just not a good way to put it… Jeremy is no longer going to be in the band with us. To be honest, this has been really painful. After taking time to consider how to move forward, we ultimately found that we really do believe Paramore can and should continue on. And so we will.
We’re really thankful for the people who have helped see us through hard times before and what we’ve discovered is that those people are just as much a part of this as we will ever be. We’re hopeful for Paramore’s future and we’re also excited for what Jeremy’s going to do next. Thank you all for your support and your belief in us. It’s kept us going. We will see some of you really soon on Parahoy. If you’re not coming on the cruise, we will still see you in 2016.
Gli ultimi anni sono stati importanti per i Paramore e ricchi di momenti gratificanti, come persone, come amici, come band ma è arrivato il momento di proseguire il percorso nel mondo della musica e proseguire spesso nella vita significa anche cambiare e modificarsi. Questo è ciò che sta succedendo nei Paramore: la formaziona originaria ormai ha un unico superstite e anche Jeremy Davis abbandona.
Sui social network, i Paramore hanno espresso dolore nei confronti della scelta di Jeremy di abbandonare il gruppo, spiegando di aver scritto e riscritto quelle poche righe diverse volte nella speranza di trovare le parole più giuste che, in momenti come questo, non esistono.
Nonostante la dipartita del bassista, i Paramore proseguiranno, grati ai fan che li hanno sempre sostenuti e che continueranno a farlo, nonostante i diversi cambiamenti.
In conclusione, hanno dato appuntamento ai fan al 2016, quando torneranno con nuova musica e con il nuovo bassista.
