Di lei si è detto tutto e il suo contrario, ma di sicuro c’è che ha ancora molto da dimostrare: il nuovo singolo di Lorde, Green light, apre la nuova era della promessa del pop made in Nuova Zelanda.

Il suo debutto ad appena 18 anni, con la hit Royals, aveva fatto gridare al miracolo: osannata dalla critica (e apprezzata perfino dal compianto David Bowie, che le disse “la tua è la musica del futuro”), Lorde torna sul mercato internazionale col nuovo singolo disponibile da venerdì 3 marzo in tutti gli store digitali e in rotazione radiofonica.

“Sono così orgogliosa di questa canzone, è molto diversa, un po’ inaspettata, complessa e divertente, triste e gioiosa e vi farà ballare” ha dichiarato la giovanissima cantautrice.

Green light, ballata che mescola pianoforte ed elettronica in un ritmo serrato e squisitamente pop, anticipa l’uscita del secondo album di Lorde, di norma la prova più spinosa per un giovane artista: il disco non ha ancora un titolo ufficiale, ma è atteso per l’estate, a distanza di 4 anni dal successo mondiale di Pure Heroine.

Per questa seconda prova discografica Lorde è diventata anche produttrice, insieme a Jack Antonoff e Frank Dukes, registrando l’album tra la casa di Antonoff e i leggendari Electric Lady Studios.

Il video di Green light è diretto da Grant Singer, già regista per The Weeknd, il duetto di ZAYN e Taylor Swift, Phantogram.
