I Critics’ Choice Television Awards, lo dice chiaramente anche il nome, sono i premi riconosciuti da critici televisivi di oltre 50 testate Usa spalmate tra tv, radio, internet e carta stampata. Dunque amici e amiche, se lo dice la critica ci dobbiamo stare e basta. Perciò se prima avevate qualche dubbio se seguire o meno una serie, dissipatelo pure e soprattutto, usate questa cosa come scusa. Ma amore, guardi anche questa serie tv? E l’ha detto la critica!
The end, scacco matto, triplice fischio, mettetela come volete ma si vince facile, con nessuna possibilità di controbattuta. Sempre che “la critica” non sia il soprannome di qualcuna che conoscete. A quel punto l’effetto è contrario. Fate attenzione.
I Critics’ Choice Television Awards solitamente venivano assegnati dalla Broadcast Television Journalists Association tra maggio e giugno, ma quest’anno la premiazione avverrà a Gennaio. Secondo me è andata così, all’ultima riunione si è alzato un criticone e ha detto: scusate ma perchè facciamo sto premio a maggio quando tutti gli altri li danno tra fine e inizio anno? Sguardi allibiti e vacui in sala.
Vabbeh, qualunque sia il modo in cui siano andate le cose, sta di fatto che le Critics’ Choice Television Awards sono state ufficializzate e sinceramente sono molto interessanti. Nella categoria Best Drama Series chi ha ricevuto maggiori preferenze è The Leftovers. E possiamo essere d’accordo o meno sulla cosa ma è certo che Lindelof e Perrotta (gli autori per chi li avesse scambiati per due calciatori) hanno effettivamente realizzato una seconda stagione da urlo.
Fa piacere inoltre la nomination di Mr.Robot mentre mi sorprende un pochino quella di UnREAL perchè non lo reputo un prodotto di grande qualità. O meglio ritenevo fosse uno show che dividesse la critica, e invece pare proprio che non sia così.
Per quanto riguarda gli attori, e parliamo sempre di Best Drama Series, mi piacciono le nominations di Clive Owen di The Knick, di Rami Malek e Christian Slater di Mr. Robot, di Carrie Coon di The Leftovers, di Viola Davis di How to Get Away With Murder e di Krysten Ritter di Jessica Jones. Penso che nessuno possa affermare il contrario.
Nella categoria Best Comedy Series invece a farla da padrone è la serie tv di Amazon, Transparent, che ottiene ben 6 nomination con quella confermata per il suo protagonista Jeffrey Tambor che già ha vinto il premio la scorsa edizione.
Per quanto riguarda invece la categoria Movie made for television or limited series fa incetta di nomination, ben 9, la serie tv Fargo. Dire che tutte sono meritate è facile, allora tra queste esprimo la mia preferenza per quella come Migliore serie o film tv, quella come miglior attrice di Kristen Dunst (che solitamente non mi fa impazzire), e quella per Jesse Plemons come migliore attore non protagonista.
